- 2 tsp coriander powder
- As per taste salt
- 1 tbsp chole masala
- 1 cup kabuli chana
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp kasuri methi

- Soak the Kabuli chana in enough water for 8 hours(preferably overnight)
- Heat oil in a cooker, add bay leaf, cardamom, and cumin seeds. Saute the onion paste till brown.
- Further, add ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell leaves.
- Add tomato puree, salt and fry till the tomatoes are well cooked and leaves oil from the sides.
- Add all the spice powders: turmeric, coriander powder, chilli powder, chole masala powder and simmer and cook till oil separates from masala.
- At this stage, drain and add the soaked chana, salt, enough water and mix well.
