Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Palak dal:
- 1 cup Toor dal
- 1 1/2 cup water
- As needed Tamarind juice
- as per taste Salt
- 3-4 Red chillies
- As needed Red chili powder
- as required Turmeric
- as required Mustard & cumin seeds (jeera)
- 5- 6 Curry leaves
- as required Crushed garlic
- 1 Tomatoes
- 1 cup Spinach leaves
- 5-6 Green chillies
- as required Coriander leaves
Steps to make to make Palak dal
- Firstly wash spinach(పాలకూర) leaves & cut it. & Also wash dal cleanly.
- Take a cooker add dal, spinach leaves, 1tbsp of turmeric powder, chopped tomatoes, green chillies, & enough water. Now close the lid & cook it in a medium flame upto 5-6 vessels. Or you can keep until it's cooked finely.
- Off the flame and remove extra gas from the cooker do not open lid immediately..
- Now add some salt, red chilli powder, tamarind juice to dal and mix it with a wooden smasher finely (till dal & spinach leaves becomes smooth) 5-6 mins gently
- Now take a frying pan put in a low flame add 3-4 tbsp of oil, mustard & cumin seeds,red chillies, pinch of turmeric, curry leaves & garlic to it let it fry for 2 mins (in low flame)
- Now add all these to a dal or add dal into a frying pan. Put in a medium flame and add 1 cup of water. Let it cook upto it's becomes little thick (20-25) mins add some coriander.. (కొతà±à°¤à°¿à°®à±€à°°)
- Now off the flame and serve it with a hot rice and some ghee. It's a beautiful combination of ghee
