- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp cumin coriander powder

- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- For tempering:
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 2-3 pitches asafoetida
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- 3-4 curry leaves
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves
- 1/2 tsp garam masala

- Firstly, wash and soak the moong dal for 20 minutes. After that heat an oil in cooker and add chopped onion & saute it well till golden brown.
- Also saute ginger, garlic & green chilli paste. As well saute tomato till its mushy and soft. Additionally add spices like turmeric, salt, red chilli powder, cumin coriander powder etc.
- Further, add soaked moong dal and water as required & mix well. Cover with lid and cook for 3-4 whistle on medium flame.
- For tempering : take a tempering bowl and add ghee, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, garam masala, red chilli powder pour to prepared dal.
- Also add lemon juice and chopped green coriander leaves. And enjoy it with rice/jeera rice or chapati.
